Rules

Players must compete in a minimum of 3 Challenge Cup events to be eligible for the Player of the Year title.

Players accumulate points by using their 6 best events over the calendar year.  The Challenge Cup season begins at the Doral Publix Junior (Dec) and ends at the AJGA Polo Junior Golf Callaway Junior World Golf Championship Classic (Nov).

Benefits

The Boys Player of the Year earns an invitation to the Northeast Amateur the following season.  Example: Jon Curran was the Player of the Year in 2005, thus he was invited to participate in the 2004 Northeast Amateur.

The Boys Player of the Year earns a paid entry fee to the Hornblower Memorial the following season.

The Boys & Girls leader of the Player of the Year Standings, effective May 25, earns an exemption into the (if applicable).

The Boys leader of the Player of the Year Standings, effective June 1, earns a paid exemption into the Amateur Invitational.

The Boys & Girls leader of the Player of the Year Standings, effective July 1, earns a paid exemption into the Francis Ouimet Memorial.

The Boys & Girls leader of the Player of the Year Standings, effective July 7, earns a paid exemption into the Golfweek New England Invitational.

The top 4 male players based on the Player of the Year Standings, effective October 1, earn a spot on Team New England and an exemption into the Doral Publix Junior Golf Classic.

The top 2 players, effective November 14, earn a paid exemption into the Doral Publix Junior Golf Classic.
